Didn’t they make over 100 billion in profit just last year. If the penalty is only 400m is it really a penalty at all?
DPC: You are very naughty. Google Dublin: BAU. Nobody down barrow street today, they only work onsite in coffee shops in Blackrock and Sandymount and the Boland’s Mills ‘quarter” where “thousands” of engineers are employed on Mondays and Fridays.

That’s the equivalent of 5 cents to them
This is literally just pocket change for Google.
Jayzus lads, these tech companies will be funding our pensions yet.
For context, Meta have something like a 2bn *a month* legal bill, including almost 1bn *a month* in penalties.
When they recently settled an 18bn dollar penalty (over 10 years) with various US states over child safety, their share price went up.
