Even living and being from the US, everyone needs to cut ties faster with us. It’s so embarrassing being from here and I really hope I’m able to escape this place before it gets any worse.
This isn’t something that was leaked. This was a publicly published paper by a think tank, not anything else.

Why is repairing relations with China not an expected outcome? Yeah China is an asshole but both countries rely on each other a lot.
It’s not a US government or military paper. It’s a paper from an obscure think tank with open isolationist leanings.

Japan wouldn’t have to make a defense against China, more likely join a military alliance against the warmongering USA.
