    1. The same Imperial Oil CEO that fired their entire Calgary office staff, moving jobs to India or, for the lucky few, Edmonton?

He’s right to reject separation. It’s an idiotic idea. But we should stop giving attention in the press to those that injury the Canadian worker so readily. The only thing he fears is a new tax adjusting his net income.

    2. Well ya. I know personally that national businesses with headquarters in Alberta have had meeting about moving their headquarters because of all this.

I have no idea who Danielia is doing this for but it sure isn’t the business community.

    3. They are already closing down their Calgary headquarters. What are they going to do, close it again?

    4. Exxon owns 70% of Imperial. Imperial is effectively an American puppet company. They are squeezing out every last ounce of value through Calgary headquarter shut in and offshoring jobs while skeleton crewing (and cooking) record production numbers for current shareholders to have exit strategy.

These patriots will sell off remaining assets and exit Canada within 5-10 years. All while siphoning 25+ years of oil profits back to Houston and leaving Canadian tax payers billions in reclamation costs for the oilsands that will come in the coming years.

    5. totaly expected, business prefer stability. separatism is not stability. not only that but currently under the push to make canada reailiant against the instability of the usa there has been masive increases for support of industries that havent typicaly gotten that much support. sucesfull separatism would very much squash those projects.
