These sort of admin and logistic errors are common in large scale events – particularly at these sort of regional games that are much lower stakes. None of them seem that surprising to anyone with any behind the scenes knowledge of these sort of events. Are we hearing about it because the organisers are particularly bad at recovery or does this reflect a message manipulated/driven by outside actors? I could believe either of these are causing the proliferation of attack stories. .

While I don’t agree that the organizers should be apologizing on behalf of others, they should apologize for the parts they did mess up and also make parties who are actually responsible apologize as well
