Some images from the 78th Pilgrimage and National Commemoration at Fort Breendonk today.
The ceremony brought together guests to pay tribute to the victims of Nazi persecution and those who fought for freedom, democracy and human rights.
One of the most significant moments was the testimony of Dr. Yulia “Tyra” Paievska, a Ukrainian military doctor and former prisoner of war. She spoke about her captivity in Russian hands and shared a poem.
