The party’s official announcement is on their website. There is only one announcement on the site and this is the final paragraph of it:
> The Conservative Party of BC also extends its deepest thanks to John Rustad, who has decided not to seek re-election. Under his leadership, our party grew from less than two percent of the vote to Official Opposition. The Conservative Party of BC would never have reached where it is today without his conviction, hard work and willingness to stand up when few others would. We wish him and his family all the very best in the years ahead.
The opening paragraph was also telling, underlining the recent turmoil:
> e Conservative Party of BC’s Election Readiness Committee announced today that they have approved every sitting member of the Conservative Party of BC’s caucus to run as a candidate in the 2026 provincial election.
This is a good sign, they almost certainly would win in 2028 based off Eby’s dismal fiscal management if Kevin Falcon hadn’t made the shortsighted decision to fold the Liberals

I don’t see how anybody could legitimately vote for the conservative party. They have no message no plan and the party is in complete disarray. I’m not saying the NDP is perfect but they are not the conservatives. I’m sure it’s tempting for people to vote anything but NDP but the conservatives are not a realistic choice they are not ready to lead
