France will be ok when it comes to debt, they have money and can grow faster that debt like the U.S. trying to do as long interest rates are low. The U.S. trying to find a way to lower the rates at the moment.
But maybe they can cut some benifits to help a little, but some want to increase taxes or even both, especially for the rich. The hard part is to agree what soultuon to implement.
The French people have been seeing their social rights regress and taxes have been increasing for years, there is already a dull anger about this because in addition to paying more, the service is less and less good.
This is already unacceptable as a situation, so no matter what the government does, there will be an uprising, people will not accept any compromise without having the guarantee that ministers, deputies and senators will do their part too (for example, reduction of their salary) and a return of the wealth tax (I know it’s not really useful, but the French people are attached to it and it can help to get the rest through). In any case, we can already say that the next fires in France will not be in the forest.
