Okay, but is this any different from before? It’s not the first time we heard these things in the media over the years

He will try something during Trump’s term, that is my opinion. Putin wants to show the world Nato article 5 is a sham. The next US president might change course vis a vis Nato and Russia. So Putin’s window of opportunity is limited.

    3. Unless the years of death and humiliation in Ukraine were just a ruse to lull NATO into a false sense of security, I’m not panicking at this.

    4. they do it all the time. time to time more, so we get used of it or tired, so we don’t experience it as on attac. Step by step, the boundaries are being pushed further and further. We’ve become too comfortable

    5. Weakest US president in history. I am shocked China and Russia have not joined forces and steamrolled Asia, Europe. Ukraine has been doing all the heavy lifting.

    6. *Ah, Couldland, where clean-cut kids cruise Couldland Boulevard, and the Couldland High football team gets their optimistic asses kicked by their crosstown rival,* *Reality Check Tech*.

    7. Attacking NATO in traditional ways, that is, sending flying things that go boom, not just the usual sabotage and hacking, would open a damn huge front. It would simply be absurd if the goal was military victory.

I could imagine such a scenario only if Russia was really sure that NATO members (that is, European countries; they wouldn’t be attacking USA or Canada) are so ideologically fragmented and their political landscape already compromised that applying some pressure like surgical small military attacks where media attention is high would contribute to its downfall even without much damage or deaths; just the disagreements on what to do, if/how/when to respond, etc. would crack the unity, then the EU hostile political forces waiting to rise in power in various countries would do the rest when time comes.

That would concern me a lot more than much heavier attacks that would likely end up uniting governments and the public opinion.

With what army? Conscripts? The volunteers in Ukraine are terrible, conscripts would be worse

    9. I don’t think they will attack, in the sense of sending troops over the border, but I think they will start some really blatant drone attacks – then just deny it while continuing or something.

    10. “Russia could attack a NATO country within X months to test NATO” has been a boilerplate since 2022.

    11. I could go and rob a bank tomorrow. It would be a disaster but I could. This isn’t very different.

    12. Maybe time to turn some automobile factories into weaponry manufacturing and kill two birds in one stone so to speak?

The military power that can’t conquer Stinki, Ukraine, about to attack the (still) most powerful alliance on Earth.

They have been saying that since the start of the war, to justify military spending.

While also saying that Russia is on the verge of collapse, and the war is unsustainable for Putin

Russia has been a threat for decades, and it will be for many more. Nothing has changed

    16. I suspect something large will pop off all over the globe right before our (USA) mid terms. Trump will use it as a reason to cancel or rig the elections. Russia and China want to make moves while he’s in office. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Russia attack a NATO country and China move on Taiwan at the same time. Iran would also make some serious strikes with weapons from others…. So much popping off where do you focus?

    17. How ironic seeing all the developments now when we rightly predicted this exact thing happening 3 to 4 years ago. Ah, but why listen, right? It’s not as if Russia’s plans have been well known for a *very* long time and quite open to public.

It’s somewhat nice to see how I got the mo the pretty right with the end of 2026-start of 2027 analysis. Even if it means I’m the one suffering from the attack.

    18. That attack would not be a full scale invasion. Its more likely gonna be small attack with unmarked “green men” taking small town, village, island or area in north just for testing article 5

    19. All these countries saying the same thing seems that they need bigger budget for their armies. Given Russia is struggling in Ukraine I can’t imagine they attack NATO.

    20. How realistic is that? They struggle in Ukraine. Getting bombed in Moscow and they will randomly decide to attack NATO?

I think Putin is waiting to see what the outcome of the US elections are, and in the meantime he is re-arming with North Korean drones as fast as 40,000 N. Koreans cam make them. Those drone need to be intercepted. and fired back at Putin. and Kim.
