According to this article, we may face robots looking like a complete human shortly. But when I look at the gif that the robot is smiling, it makes me feel uncanny valley already. I admire the research result tho.
The robot, nowadays, has been seen in news articles quite a lot recently. I feel like the next fever after AI will be the robot, and I feel that's naturally the right flow. So people are making a brain system or intelligence now, and it is very natural that we think about the container or vessel that can contain that intelligence. What do you think?

Gene editing will be, don’t have to solve for physics when DNA is a physics based code
OH baby!!! i have followed humanoids since 2013. And oh man you have no idea how fast this train is arriving. With the boom of machine learning, we’ve seen companies scrap entire divisions that were around decades. Before it took many programmers years to achieve a baby step in robotics. Like a literal baby step. Now you have companies making robots in months that are leaps better than anything before just 10 years ago. The crazy part is, how cheap they will be.
I just cant see how, even in a world with wealthy short sightedness, robots will ever be a viable part of society. Simply because of the cost and the resources it would require
