Once we turn off the halloumi pumps, you’ll see all the Americans and Chinese come to us begging. Just you wait and see

    2. No joke maybe bronze age copper monopoly could have. There are letters from kings of Egypt that refer to rulers of Cyprus as their equals (how they would correspond with the hittites).

    3. We were kicking serious ass in the 1200s. Cyprus invaded and conquered the South coast of Turkey and almost all of Alexandria. The Greeks had to ally with the Turks to kick us out. There’s 2 Historicon Podcast episodes about this. I think they are episodes 221 and 222

    4. There was a huge tin mine in Cyprus so it was like a huge deal in the bronze age… other than that not sure.

      Honestly define your country.

I would identify Alexander’s empire or the Byzantine empire as a past form of my country in the same way an Italian would do so about Classical Rome.

    6. Cyprus was considered equal to or on par to Egypt in the Late Bronze Age.

Cyprus was part of Eastern Rome / the Byzantine Empire. Even today, TCs refer to GCs as Romans(not Greeks).

Cyprus was part of the Ottoman Empire.

So these 3 are the possible reasons one can give.

    7. So i am not the only one who accidentally turns on the volume when I wanna take SS from my phone.
