I remember the World Cup being on the news more too in the summer
Palestine is not an issue Americans actually care about. Parts of the Internet do but ask any random person on the street in the US about that and they won’t give a damn.
But this is the same for nearly all foreign events. Lot of fucked up stuff happening in many parts of Africa that gets no coverage.
Russia is committing insane atrocities against Ukraine and that barely gets covered.
Well, yeah, because none of them actually care about Gaza. It’s all performative.
