      The Estonian town of Narva up to 1941 had a population that was some 70+% Estonian, thereafter, and to this day, the population was/is some 80% russians.

      Russia’s genocides aren’t talked about enough. You can’t have a country that behaved like Nazi Germany, but never repented like Germany did, and actually expect it to behave normal.

      I love how always the rights of Russian speakers are a reason to invade but once Russia invaded anywhere the local language gets banned and replaced with Russian

      I like a joke that not a very well known comedian said in 2015 in Ukraine, named Volodymyr Zelensky: “Vladimir Vladimirovich (putin), nobody violates rights of the russian speakers in the afterlife. Please, stop sending your soldiers there”

      Correct he is preparing for war in the Baltics, because to his mind they are not Europe. It is all about how shit is phrased. Basically buckle up kids hot war incoming. He passed the laws allowing the Russian military to aid any oppressed Russian minorities outside of Russia, ergo the Baltics.

      There’s is something alot of people are missing. Russia can not do another war without finishing Ukraine. A new front is the last thing they need.

      Article 5 has only been activated once, and that keeps the article relevant because it shows that NATO is willing to respond.

      If Russia can create an edge case where there is basis for article for 5, but the cost of response is higher than the cost of the attack, then individual countries may hesitate to help.

      Say Russia graps a small field with no real value in Estonia, the cost of the response to such an small and insignificant plot of land isn’t great enough to risk war with Russia, but the thing article 5 should protect against. Would any country in NATO risk attacking Russian troops like that?

      The catch is, if NATO then decides that the landgrab can’t be let go, and then responds with kicking the russians out, then Putin can point at NATO’s action as «western aggression» and further proof the «Kiev Regime» needs to be taken down and use that to justify mobilising 500.000 troops into Ukraine.

      So NATO is stuck, either let Russia take the land, but let Russia cross a previous red line without consequences and weakening the trust within the NATO alliance, OR risk giving Ukraine a harder time, as well as Putin being able to justify escalating further.

      Why would he want annihilation. Nuclear threats means shit if he attacks. He can fire all of them and his country will be levelled to the ground come what may.

      Same old story as back in 2022 when he said that Ukraine was full of Nazis. Noone believes this hypocrite. Nato better prepare for war and strike back as soon as the next drone or fighter jet enters airspace.
