Have they considered making crime illegal to discourage this sort of thing like fines or prison sentences for repeat offenders. No? Well then it’s going to keep fucking happening. At this point what about this is news. It would be news if it didn’t happen on a regular basis.
Ironic that the complaints for this type of behaviour will be that there’s nothing for these kids to do in the area
“More Gardaí” not sure that’s much of a solution , this the best he can come up with on 120k a year?
If only they’d had an astro pitch they wouldn’t have had to burn down the playgrounds

Ireland has **not**, by any means, a normal teenage population
Maybe, at a push, you might get playgrounds getting vandalised in dodgy parts of Liverpool, Manchester etc
But the feral teenager cunts we put up with here is just not the norm
Yeah happens when the Government refuses to build enough juvenile and adult prison spaces and anti social behaviour (or worse) receives no punishment ….so colour me astonished …..but as long as it happens away from the plush houses of Politicians , Senior Civil Servants and Judges ….no one who could do something really gives a fuck
I hate this time of year. Teenagers are burning everything down and throwing fireworks at people.
I’m involved in a sports club that has had to suspend evening activities for a month due to fireworks repeatedly being thrown onto the pitches.
Samhain and other end-of-summer festivals used to be about celebrating harvests and sharing food. All that has been taken over by fires and fireworks.
When they catch those responsible I’m sure they’ll face serious repercussions.
But Darndale is such a lovely area

I grew up in a council estate. A bad one. It had an awful rep back in the day(I’m 35 now).
It had a great playground. One day it was set on fire and ruined a lot of the toy/rides. It was left abandoned for a few years and the council put down a really cool one with rubberised tarmac flooring, which I’m sure is standard now. Within a month it was ripped up and battered beyond using.
They got rid of it and left it idle. Now they’ve put houses there.
They didn’t mention the playgrounds down the road in Clongriffin that were also lit on fire.
It really takes the lowest of the low to do this. The parents should be hauled out and stoned.

They just opened a new playground very close to me in Errigal Field in Drimnagh. All the residents know this will happen on Halloween night. Its a nightmare
