    1. Yes, that’s true… But its literally just sky and grass, like please at least have a hill or a tree somewhere anywhere. Wait, Hungary get out of the room please.

    2. Goes to show how arbitrary the division between Europe and Asia is. Is there anything that distinguishes European Kazakhstan from Asian Kazakhstan at all?

If someone’s interested there are two relatively big cities in the European part of Kazakhstan. These are the cities of Atyrau and Uralsk with populations of 326K and 369K, respectively. Both cities are located on the Ural River.
In total, about one million people live in the European part of the country.

Why do people always think western Europe when someone says Europe? Kazakhstan is Europe!

    10. And the total area of Kazakhstan is greater than the combined areas of the five largest countries in Europe minus Russia (Ukraine, France, Spain, Sweden, and Norway).

    11. On a non related comment, Greece is way bigger than I thought.
In the same way, Czechia is smaller

    12. But the population in this part of Kazakhstan isn’t that large – just about 1 million. About 37 EU urban areas have populations larger than the European part of Kazakhstan. This includes some in the listed countries (Athens, Amsterdam, Rotterdam+Hague, Antwerp, Vienna, Prague, Budapest, etc.). In fact, the Netherlands have almost as many people as the WHOLE of Kazakhstan!
