Today is the 88th day of the IMM trial: Kaan Ketenci, the so-called confessor who benefited from effective repentance, could not explain the terms he used in his statement to the prosecution.

The trial of the IMM Case, which includes 436 defendants, 57 of whom are detained, including Presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, continues. The 88th day of the trial is being held in the new courtroom built by the Istanbul 33rd High Criminal Court in the Marmara Closed Prison in Silivri.
The defense and interrogations of the detained defendants will continue throughout the week. The monthly detention review will be held on Thursday.
At today’s hearing, former IMM Transportation Department Head and current Hopa Mayor Utku Cihan made his defense.

13:35 Defendant confessor Kaan Ketenci said that his past statements were correct and his interrogation began. Chief justice, “What is a collusive contract?” he asked. Ketenci, “I don’t know” he replied. Later, detained Medya A.Ş. Rahşan Sertkaya, the lawyer of the Chairman of the Board of Directors and IMM President Advisor Murat Ongun, took the floor. Sertkaya, “If you didn’t know about the collusive contract, how did you use it three times in your statement to the prosecutor’s office?” posed the question. Confessor Ketenci, “I couldn’t remember” he said.
