Consider how little this matters if true. Russia is losing 2k troops per day. This is 5 days of troops. Keep in mind they will be unarmed and unable to communicate. While I am sure Russia will give them guns, they will likely be cannonfotter
Just make sure that you are all aware that the North Korean troops are deployed in Russia. No North Korean troops are in Ukraine (including currently occupied territories).

so do we think NK is offloading population, or planning to demand repayment for lost troops?
I feel like because NK has a poor reputation, people arenāt taking the fact seriously that a whole foreign country with nuclear weapons is deploying soldiers alongside Russia. Itās pretty different from ammo and weapons and other war materials.
I seriously wonder if Europe would do anything concrete if Ukraine started to collapse. Or if theyād just watch and say ādarn our luckā when Russia inevitably builds up its forces again and pulls some BS reason to being the next cycle

That is not good. North Korea’s GDP per capita is 1,000 USD, while recruitment costs in Russia are north of 20,000 USD.
North Korea’s economy is booming due to the influx of Russian wealth from sending troops and weapons. Kim will keep sending troops as long as Putin pays.
North Korea has 1 million active soldiers if around 20% are sent, that is 200,000, which is not a number that can be disregarded.

Not real sure about the accuracy of calendars back in the day. The actual average lifespan though was roughly 35-40 years from what Iāve read in the past. Being generous and saying 40, times the number of days in a lunar cycle 29.5 you get a person who is 1,180 āyearsā old.
This is my guess based on the reliability of the lunar cycle and what people knew of astronomy outside of āgod did itā.

North Korea has to do that. Russia supplies them with food, oil, and money. Without Russian aids, they cannot survive the winter. This is the price you pay when you choose a non-rational system like communism.
