Vienna takes exception when it comes to bringing forward summer holidays
The proposal from Vienna’s education councilor Bettina Emmerling (NEOS) to bring the summer holidays forward did not receive a majority at a meeting of education representatives today. She now wants to look for other ways to combat the heat in schools.
According to GeoSphere Austria, two weeks of early holidays would only save Viennese schools an average of half a hot day. Emmerling still wants to stick to the idea.

Wissenschaft ist in der Politik immer nur gut, wenn sie (vermeintlich) die eigene Ideologie stützt. Sonst ist sie wurscht bis schlecht.
Redet von wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen und verlinkt einen Artikel aus den Mainstream-Medien ohne Quelle und mit 2 Halbsätzen (und da lasse ich schon den Satz über die ominösen unzitierbaren “Fachleute” gelten) über die Meinung der Wissenschaft.
