Thanks for all the comments on my last post. Many of you wanted to walk around your own valley or summit, so here is a first region to try: the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch, from Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen across the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau down the Aletsch Glacier to the Lötschental.

It’s built from swisstopo’s open geodata, one block per metre, so every place on the national map is exactly where it is in reality. On the website you can click on the map and get the teleport command for that spot.

Free download, no sign-up. All of Switzerland follows later.

Needs Minecraft Java Edition (1.12.2 with Cubic Chunks, set up automatically via Prism Launcher). 1.1 GB, 8 GB RAM for the game. I’d love to hear whether it runs for you.
