      >The Jewish Representative Council of Greater Manchester (JRC) said it had raised “profound concerns” with Manchester City Council about the Heaton Park gigs on 3 and 4 July 2027.

      >”At a time of heightened antisemitism, comments and chants linked to the band risk importing tensions from the Middle East into the UK, with Jewish people becoming the targets,” the statement said.

      >Fontaines DC – a five-piece punk band from Dublin- have voiced support for the Palestinian cause and criticised Israel’s actions in Gaza.

These cunts must look for something to play the victim with. Always offended, never ashamed.

Really feels like the shark has been jumped and the general public is over it.

If every person under the sun is being called anti-semetic then it just begins to lose all meaning.

This is like a German being upset at anti-nazi sentiment. If everyone else can see the clear distinction between a people and an ideology, deliberately confusing the two is admission of membership to the ideology and not about the people.

    5. Israel and judaism are separate topics. One doesn’t represent the other. It sounds, to me, like they’re zionists trying to conflate a government with a religion.

Meanwhile, the genocide that Fontaines DC are opposing is being committed against one of the semitic groups (Palestinians).

I know it’s not the most important point here, but why are the BBC calling Fontaines punk band

    7. Human bots filling up space on the BBC is a propaganda win for Israel. Any discussion of a band being antisemitic takes time away from discussing what is happening in Palestine.

    8. A few years ago I would have been outraged if someone called me antisemitic. Now I’d probably agree with them…

Media is such a powerful tool. Alternative headline: War Criminal Zionists try to silence musicians

It’s been really interesting as an Irish person in the US at the moment. I have noticed attitudes change towards me. I went on a date recently and was explaining why Irish people have such a strong connection with Palestine and this guy turned so nasty and spouted bizarre anti Irish comments that belonged back in the early 1900s

    11. Funny thing is that it’s safer to be a jew in Ireland than it’s to be a jew in Israel. Thanks Benjamin!!!

    12. Someone commented on a similar story yesterday about how in a couple years some journo think tank will pluck all these “antisemitic ” stories out of the air and frame it that ireland had X amount of Antisemetic incidents in 2026.
Which couldnt be further from the truth.

Its all setting this up to look far worse down the line than it is.

    13. Here we have an article recently about the french foreign ministry complaining about Musk interfering but he also calls out an Israeli company creating accounts on social media pretending to be French to divide people on the issues relating to Israel and Palestinians.

      >”They exploit our divisions and exploit issues such as immigration, secularism and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to stoke hatred and tension,” he said at a conference held by the Paris-based Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

      >**He singled out an Israeli company – which he did not identify** – that he said had **created fake French accounts to post over the Israel-Palestinian conflict.**

No doubt that they’re trying that here as well.

The irony of all this being that nobody is more antisemitic or a bigger danger to jews than zionists and Israel

    15. I do feel bad for victims of actual anti-semetism having all these Irsaeli state stooges going around calling everything antisemitic. All they are doing is diluting the meaning of the word to the point that real anti-semetism won’t be taken half as seriously as it should be.

I don’t think the fontaines will care.. in fact I think they quite like being in that group

*They should save time just blanket ban everyone*

After the Ed Sheeran debacle, any promoter with two brain cells should realise that the blowback for capitulating to the Israel lobby far outweighs the benefits.

    18. This is the equivalent of being able to slap “Academy Award for best picture” on a movie poster. Zionist lobby groups trying to cancel artists is one of the best promotion pushes you can get. Look at Macklemore and Kneecap.
