I'm sure many of you are familiar with the use of AI to create avatars or custom-made chatbots with their own defining character traits. One of my favorite examples of this is Athene's parody show where he's interviewing AI versions of celebrities, both dead and alive. A couple of shorts for reference:

The answers given by these avatars range from ridiculous non sequiturs to accurate depictions of the real life people they're supposed to portray. There's no doubt in my mind that they will only become more relatable in time.

If we follow this trajectory, will we eventually get to the point where the "personalities" or defining traits of AI will transcend those of any human throughout history? Will they develop their own sense of humor that only someone with their level of knowledge would understand and appreciate? Will they form their own set of social norms aided by game theory? Or is it simply the case that AI will never have any values and goals of their own and therefore will never develop a "true" personality?

To an extent, AI avatars is capable of displaying their own personality. Will AI eventually be able to develop a superhuman "hyper-personality"? If so, what would it look like?

    1. Will articles like this eventually use correct grammar? (“…avatars is capable…” ??? )

    2. Yeah, that’s cool and all but are they able to master all four elements?

    3. No, the current AI media shows everywhere are just softwares copying human patterns and presenting them the “best way” using Linear Algebra. They can’t truly learn or develop original thoughts/personality.
