      After these Southport threads, I swear I’m beginning to believe some people really are so cowardly and stupid that they really do want to see the world burn.

      This is what was rumoured to have incited the riot in the area.

      Certainly feels like this stabbing will have long lasting implications and (hopefully) some change.

      I’m yet to see evidence that this arrest caused the riot. Sounds like a convenient excuse to save face over the disorder tonight.

      I can’t help but feel that we were minutes from absolute anarchy if that man with a knife killed someone at the vigil/protest (later turned riot). Great work by the police to apprehend him before the tinderbox was doused in accelerant

      As far as I am aware the man was part of the riot group according to some neighbours now I am unable to verify this information sadly as I saw some tweets from residents. Lets wait for more news from police.

      We know that Rwanda is a safe country.

      This same thing happened with Salman abedi’s parents given citizenship.
