    1. Ex Tory councilor who bought his way into the Job with 400k of donations to the Tory party has been happy to pay Huw’s salary for a year and give him a pay rise.
He should resign, but given all Tories willingness to resign from any paying job in the last 14 years I expect he’ll have to be dragged out with his fingernails scraping the floor.

    2. But they didn’t know he was guilty. You can’t fire someone just because they’ve been charged. If they turn out to be innocent they will sue the fuck out of you.

This repeated BBC-bashing is getting very tiresome.

    3. I’m socially progressive. I believe in human rights, fairness, and equality. That’s why I support sacking of people and a straight-to-jail card for anyone who has an accusation made against regardless of the evidence. If it goes to court and the person is found not guilty, that just means there wasn’t enough evidence. And if there was evidence of the person doing nothing then it’s probably due to systematic oppression and all fake anyway.

This isn’t possible because the BBC told me they’d learned their lesson after Savile.

    5. BBC gonna BBC.

Can we at least get ride of the licence so we’re free to vote with our wallets?

An employee on 5% of Huw Edward’s salary …. would probably be fired straight away

Aaah, the BBC protecting predators since its inception. Another reason not to pay the Licence Fee.

This sub is a real joke sometimes. Umpteen months ago (in social media platform time) this piece of whatever was getting a free pass in most threads. Guarantee loads of regular commenters have desperately attempted to delete their content related to this the past couple of days.

“Innocent until proven guilty” people will cry.

Saville was never found guilty but we all know he was a nonce.

There have been whistleblowers showing he was a creep to staff. He shouldn’t have got a penny.

The way this has played out has been optimal for both parties. BBC let him disappear then leave on full pay then conveniently he was charged after he left. BBC avoids investigating and avoids a tribunal for unfair dismissal.
