      Elon Musk has proven himself beyond all doubt to be a complete and utter scumbag. No possibility of appealing to his better nature on this. Not easy, but it’d be good if people could somehow collectively decide to use a different platform.

      Tech companies only care about profits. Do not think for a second they have anyone’s best interest here.

      We should have blackout days in protest of these companies because they understand money and nothing else.

      Is this some sort of twisted joke?

      The police who routinely allow women to be killed by men even when they’re told time and time again of a threat are criticising social media platforms for not deleting misogyny quickly enough?

      Does she think that rapists and murderers and acid attackers are going to be dissuaded by having their Twitter and Facebook deactivated?

      I struggle to understand why so many who dislike musk, who dislike the way that social media is pushing views that aren’t in line with their own, still use these platforms on a regular basis. 

      Twitter has always been a cesspit, but it was fun. Since musk took over it’s gotten so much worse. And yet people still cling to it, getting angrier and angrier, engaging with the people/bots/whatever who share these heinous views.

      Right wing media have a hard on at the moment, all they do is cherry pick bits of social – amplify it (with the Russian bot farms doing the same) and insist its a representative of the entire UK.

      Treat anything they publish with an even larger grain of salt.
