    1. These articles really need to make clear that the fires are caused by *illegal* e-bikes, not legit ones. Otherwise it’s just fear mongering.

I dont believe it is in the UK plus it wont be easy to prove that you charged the battery correctly

Families of victims should probably stop buying illegal e bikes then wtf.

Like it’s already illegal, wtf more do they want?

This is why I don’t buy stuff like that from shops that don’t have a retail presence. By that I mean no Amazon, no Ebay, no Wish, no Temu, no Facebook marketplace. I’m not buying anything like that unless my solicitor can walk into your office and serve you the papers to say you’re being sued.

I don’t care about the manufacturer, I bought it from a shop, and so if it bursts into flames, it’s the shop’s fault for selling me faulty merchandise.

    5. You get what you pay for (Mostly). Buy a cheap electrical item from China and you are dicing with death.

    6. Stop buying cheap, illegal Chinesium shit then.

The good, legal, Chinesium ones really aren’t that much more expensive.

Amazon has a hell of a lot to answer for, also. They don’t give a flying fuck about the knockoff shit they sell.
