Ok I’m having words with my Nan tomorrow.
I knew that wood wasn’t safe and she told me not to worry.
All those trips to the penny arcade risking my life.
That water pissing through the hole just added insult to injury.
I’ve always, always hated walking on piers. AND THIS IS WHY!
Yikes. Lucky for her she hit the sand and not the water. Could’ve been a hell of a lot worse

Always thought this when I’ve been on a pier and now it’s happened.
There’s a sheet of unfinished plywood used as the floor next to the hole. Bet those joists are just pine too! The whole thing looks janky as shit! The HSE are going to have a field day with this one me thinks.
Teak on piers please people.
I’m surprised they didn’t charge her and take the money from her purse, for her go on their “new ride”, the BlackPool Pier Plunge!
