    1. As a Brighton resident, the Parade is the most boring, soulless collection of corporate nonsense you could ever imagine. There’s no artistry, invention or creativity. Just a load of buses with some rainbow branding, maybe some people on board wearing tutus and dancing to some pop song. It’s really dull.

Every year now it’s just a corporate parade. Guess it pays the bills to out the event on unfortunately.

Bar the small protest and the small drunken brawl between some ladies who had one too many, it was all-in-all a pretty fun day.

I live on the parade route and the bright colours, fun day drinking and calm/welcoming police presence was a sharp contract on what was happening in other parts of the UK.

Good, companies do not care about you. While I think company floats are fun, I’m not about to think they’re doing there doing anything because they believe in it.

I live in Brighton and I laughed out loud at this.

Coca Cola also own Costa Coffee, Jack Daniels, Innocent Drinks and the Body Armour brands who were massively promoted within the festival and surrounding site.

In addition – the following morning I picked up 7 used coke baggies within a 5 minute walk of my house.

I used to live directly across from Preston Park when it was free and accessible, which was great. Could idle over, nip home for the bathroom (usually with several hangers on), then go and hang out for whatever has-been 90s pop diva was ‘the main act’.

It’s a little like its own mini-festival now.

When I see corporations pushing pride or feminism or equality all I see is a negative corporate attempt to clean themselves. In reality they are beholding to faceless shareholders. They should just stick to that cause the other stuff is disingenuous

As a member of LGBT group I despise pride getting commercialised. That’s NOT the point of pride.

Also i just can’t at people aligning with Palestine over a gay event. Laughable
