    1. >Ms Connolly, who is in custody, said she had acted on “false and malicious” information.

What kind of false information causes a person to call for arson ? Did someone claim austerity improves lives ?

Acted on false and malicious information. So it’s perfectly fine to solicit arson and murder so long as you’ve done your research. Got it.

    3. > The wife of a Conservative councillor has been charged after she called for hotels housing asylum seekers to be set on fire.

      > Ms Connolly, who is in custody, said she had acted on “false and malicious” information.

What false info could you receive that pushed you to calling for the accommodation of asylum seekers to be set alight? This doesn’t even make sense.

      EDIT: typo fix.

      >Ms Connolly, who is in custody, said she had acted on “false and malicious” information.

I don’t think she understands that’s not an excuse, but an admission of guilt.

    5. This ranks up there with the Labour twat calling for throats to be slit.

What kind of brain fart does it take to call for arson on a place where people sleep?

My father-in-law has recently retired as a warden at Styal’s women’s prison. Even women’s prison is no picnic. She is in for the shock of her life.

I am impressed with the response of the government and hope this will lead to a better understanding of the rules and responsibility on the social media sphere. Hate and misinformation will be part of the medium but the degree to which it can permeate through it can be managed better.
There should be a clear distinction between being the person that is posting something and the ones which are sharing something. When sharing, you might have some excuse but when you post, you will hold a higher degree of responsibility.

Surely she’s getting at least 38 months like the other lad who pretty much posted this word for word?

Crazy when you only serve 5 months for killing a 14 year old with a machete. Locking up people who lack common sense or emotional regulation for hyperbolic statements and releasing murders and rapists early to make space.

    8. Is this a labour thing or has this always been a thing in UK law? If someone is organising a legitimate and intricate plot to burn down hotels then fair enough, but are we sure we’re not just locking people up for having a rant on social media? Seems very Nazi Germany like if you ask me

A perfect cocktail of ignorance and stupidity. I hope the experience stays with her. Maybe they should charge her for her bed & board when she gets out?

Will she be jailed like the working class whites or not? Perhaps the 2 tier policing is white on white.

A lot of people could save themselves from a world of shit if they just took 1 minute to consider ‘could there be any consequences to what I am about to do/say’.

Let’s see what sentence she gets. Because the last person got 38 months for exactly the same tweet.
