Submission statement: what do you think it means that one of the founders of the field thinks that advanced AI could be a massive threat to humanity? I can’t imagine the psychological pressure to rationalize that AI is nothing but good if *I* were the person to have founded the field.
What do you think other governments are going to do to deal with risks from advanced AI?
So what happens if without evidence claim an AI is “not safe”? Sounds like a easy way to make money without having any stake in the game.
