  1. Submission Statement

There’s a vast disparity between access to doctors and access to smartphones. Almost everyone in the world, even the poorest of the poor, has a phone themselves or a family member who does. AI medical diagnosis will be cheap and globally available to almost everyone.

It remains to be seen if this research can be replicated, but if it can, then deployment can’t come soon enough. If Covid-19, and other infectious diseases, could be diagnosed with something as simple as a photo an AI app could diagnose, it would be a revolution in healthcare.

  2. > The proposed system was tested using 60 images of both patients and healthy individuals captured in real time with a diagnostic accuracy rate reaching 96.6%.

Not 60 images per disease. 60 images total, including all diseases and the control group.
