Much underrated programme. Was far too clever for most kids.
I remembered the name from Screen Test early 80’s. Checked out IMDB ( https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0874113/?ref_=ext_shr ), this man was involved in so much of our televison youth. Rest in peace.
My oldest friend looks just like Penfold. I’ve never let him forget it. 😂
This guys career is my entire childhood viewing. I even remember as a kid wondering who this Brian Trueman guy was.
Also wrote Count Duckula which was my favourite TV cartoon by a long way!
Thanks for all the great memories. Terry Scott as Penfold’s voice was the absolute best.
