Why can someone not be named for legal reasons being 17?

Not being funny but I am an adult and a bunch of 17 year olds could easily overwhelm me and potentially kill me, doesn’t mean they should be protected by the law.

The 17 year old tosser should have been tried as an adult and his identity not protected
