    1. Yes, I know that this isn’t the best source but unfortunately i couldn’t find a collaborating article that isn’t clickbait.

Also for the person who asked about the jokes on the last attempt at posting this. It’s because comparing someone who simply slashed a bunch of tires to David Scanlon who broke into women’s homes to terrorise them was in bad taste.

    2. The guy who did this is an absolute fucking scumbag. If they catch him, I’m all for bringing back “the stocks” as punishment – and put him in them somewhere around those streets!

    3. I mean I hate how much spaces cars take up on the street and how cars just dominate life in this city but this is not the way to go about things?

    4. if this trend catches on, this could become a real problem because a lot of inner city houses dont have garaged housing. Like in Birchgrove you wont have a garage unless your house is worth 8 figures.

    5. > The hooded tyre tyrant remains at large.

I look forwards to the day the hooded tyre tyrant accedes to his throne.

    6. I have 3 theories about this person:

      1) watch this space: will a new tyre shop pop up to help replace popped tyres? Could be an entrepreneurial venture to get new business. Maybe even for an existing business. Quite clever to artificially create a surge of demand like that.

      2) A protest in the form of vandalism because cars bad / a Greens’ party person’s “doing my bit for the environment moment”, because they’re accidentally off their meds & forgot that slashed tyres = wasted tyres, since they’ll need to be disposed of before the end of their natural life.

      3) A bored ice junkie who was playing with a new knife they’d just obtained in a completely legal manner.

Anyone else have any other theories?

      Edit: formatting on mobile.

    7. Unfortunately this isn’t the first time its happened. It has been going on at least 3 other occasions in the surrounding streets over the last month.

    8. I remember when I lived in Glebe developers paid the local kids to smash car windows and burn them.

    9. Can he come and do the cars at Olympic Park? I think the residents would be pretty happy because most of them are hoons with ridiculous exhaust noise driving up and down the roads at 2 am
