The ‘greening machine’ project, Vert, shows how small urban spaces can quickly get all the benefits of large old trees with ‘pop-up parks’ using soil pots, wooden structures and climbing plants.

Not only are these gorgeous to have around, they deliver lots of benefits. They increase urban biodiversity and reduce temperatures. What is delightful about this concept is that these little parks could easily be moved around if needed. The climbing plants grow from pots in the wooden structure not the underlying soil.
