According to the article this came about from failing to adequately separate washed and unwashed vegetables. Surprisingly, it was nothing to do with the meat.

Should really be a jail sentence.
And the article says someone is suing them. Good luck when they’ll just declare bankruptcy immediately.

>Two kebab shop bosses have been fined thousands of pounds after more than 50 customers were poisoned at their takeaway. The bacterial outbreak at Marmaris Kebab House in Abergavenny led to 11 customers being hospitalised including a boy who went on to develop diabetes
Wasn’t there also a recent case of young men getting infected with ringworms from all those dodgy high street barber shops?
The memes just write themselves at this point.

Third world hygiene is becoming the norm. Just watch any YouTube compilation of Indian streetfood, its rancid

I used to live in Abergavenny and this was the best kebab to go to. Big piss up in town and wander down for elephant foot (lamb donner) and chips. Shit your guts up the next day but what a good detox.

I’m a diabetic (T1) and am confused. Is the article saying the boy developed diabetes from eating unwashed veggies?

Definitely not the worst kebab someone in Wales has ordered
I didn’t know you could just develop type 1 diabetes

Why anyone eats from these unhygienic kebab shops blows my mind. Just looking at most of the shops I wouldn’t feed the food to my dog.

It was tainted coleslaw btw, I always knew that gross looking mess was suspicious but having it with a kebab is pineapple on pizza level abomination 🤢
“Following the food poisoning an 11-year-old boy developed a “life-changing illness” — type 1 diabetes — and some customers experienced “vomiting, fevers, terrible stomach cramps and blood in their diarrhoea”. One of the victims, 76-year-old John Inglesby, recently revealed he had instructed lawyers ahead of a potential civil claim due to long-term “gastric complications” from the poisoning.”
I’m shocked, I had no idea you can develop diabetes from a severe case of food poisoning.
