A good start but deportations need to ramp up into the hundreds of thousands. Any form of criminality should result in a deportation. Companies like Deliveroo need naming, shaming and boycotting for their access to illegal work. No recourse to any public funds, these hotel shenanigans for working age men who the vast majority have obviously come for economic reasons is absolute madness when we have so many legal citizens suffering. It’s not going to be easy, it’s not going to be nice, but that’s the point we have reached unfortunately. Legal migration needs to be massively revamped too, we are a visa and citizen printing machine at the moment.

    2. Presumably that’s because they are processing more people. Rather than look at raw numbers how does it compare as a percentage of those processed. Does it also mean that in terms of raw numbers more have also been allowed to stay.

I’m not sure the raw numbers have much meaning as a means of comparison if the real story is that Labour has ramped up processing.

    3. Tell us the civil service is politically biased without using the words…
Labour haven’t done anything on topic and suddenly the civil service are actually doing their jobs?
Country is done for anyway, just matter of time for JD Vance’s prediction to come true
