As someone who doesn’t watch sports at all (neither does my husband), it’s crazy to realize how much of my country pays attention to sports (especially football). It’s like my husband and I are somehow living in a separated, parallel existence to so many other people.

I used to play football as a kid, it’s completely unwatchable to me now. It’s all penalties and commercials, I can’t fathom why people love it, and tie their identities to it so damn much.
