  1. China has been the leading force in accelerating advanced energy solutions deployments like energy storage and clean hydrogen. It also has a strong position in the fields of advanced nuclear, Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS), and sustainable aviation fuels.

Investments in clean energy technologies made by China in 2023 were more than the cumulative total of the other top 10 investing countries in that same year. Investments in renewables and the electrification of transport accounted for more than 60% of the total, followed by investments in power grids, energy storage, nuclear technologies, and hard-to-abate sectors.

  2. Good. Someone has to do it and the GOP relinquished the US’ leadership in energy. I hope the chinese eat the lunch of all the big petro companies. I realize china pollutes more than any other country but at least they are moving forward and not backwards

Renewable power is now the cheapest form of power, and China doesn’t have a giant oil lobby that is hell-bent on slowing down adaption. There is no good reason not to go all in on renewables anymore. You aren’t doing some sacrifice for the greater good of the planet, you are simply building the better power source.

  4. They are still one of the most pollution maker countries but I really like the way they’re going. They acknowledge the danger and are moving to a greener future. I hope the rest of countries start doing so.

  5. If the US had embraced Jimmy Carters solar panels/renewable tech, it would be a different world today.
