The local community was baying for the police’s blood and on the verge of rioting after this happened. Those same people most likely won’t agree with the inquest’s findings though, as this aspiring young criminal was an angel in their eyes.

Should’ve done what all sane local dealers do and used a pushbike (or a blacked out stolen Audi).

Similar story in Cardiff (which did end in riots). Of course, driving these electric bikes with no helmet and only a balaclava zipping between traffic is always going to end well. But my jimmy was a good boy. Honest.
Every city is terrorised by them. And police can’t do anything. It’s become lawless.

One less scrote for the police to deal with constantly for the rest of his life.

Fucking ridiculous that the police face any blame at all for one of these cunts killing themselves by riding/driving like a twat. Zero sympathy.

Society gets to pick
1. No pursuits, no use of force, no stop search, no firearms officers
Or
2. Allow the police to stop with pursuits, use of force etc and understand it’s not going to be pretty every time and they can’t instantly go looking for police blood.
Criminals will respond to either choice but society really only gets one choice on this.
The current approach isn’t suitable for anyone. The public, the police or those causing harm.

The police should not have to consider the safety of the criminal when deciding whether to pursue them. If the person decides not to stop and ends up killing themselves that’s 100% on them, 0 sympathy for them. Only thing the police should be thinking about is if a pursuit would endanger the wider (innocent) public.

some people in this thread need to have some empathy honestly. this kid was FIFTEEN.
i’ve seen nothing to suggest he was a violent criminal and honestly at fifteen, you have your entire life to turn things around. rest in peace.
