China’s Chang’e 7 mission, slated to reach the moon’s south pole next year, will include a flag that can flutter even in the vacuum of space

Why? What need is there for that or to mention that?
Wow, we better hurry up and spare no expense if we want to beat China to the moon!
Hurry, let’s throw away our only Moon rocket and replace it with a rocket that doesn’t have enough delta V to make it to the moon and back!
I wish them luck & look forward to this mission. While they hunt for water there & hope to inspire their youth, it would be great if we in the US could get fully inspired to go back. Too many of our own idiots think we never even went 6 times
I really don’t care. Share your science like NASA does, then I’ll care.
I know national pride and all, but can we take a minute to just appreciate that they took the time, money and manpower to find a solution for this “problem”
Cant wait to see how it actually looks
Unless someone gets out and plants it then BFD.
How long does it take for a flag to turn complete white from solar radiation?
Good on them. Regardless of where you come from, they still represent humanity. I wish them the best of luck.
…oh and if it helps spur on the ESA and Nasa, all the better.
Trump will welcome this news with maturity, I predict.
wow, so they’re preemptively telling us it’s going to be recorded in a studio, so they don’t make the same mistake as NASA
