    1. And for everyone wondering, yes I did track how long I spent tracking everything! I spent approximately 47 minutes per day on it (labelled as “Journaling” in the plot legend.

Yes I was unemployed and had too much free time last year, but I now have a job in data science lined up this year so that’s worked out well haha

Curious to know what your takeaways were from this, what are you hoping to change in 2025

which tools did you use for the tracking? I’m specially intrigued by how to acquire this data precisely to the minute

also, is there anything that accounts for idle time between tasks?

Wow that’s a lot of dedication. I tried something similar once and eventually gave up.

    5. Insane man I would never be able to track this much. This is really insane. How accurate is it? I see your “journaling” was not always at the same time, did you track when you felt like doing it or when you felt like you were forgetting things ? How much guessing do you think you had to do for activies in the past that you started to forget?

Damn I’d want to do that for myself but the amount of effort and discipline it would take is too much for me

How often did you have to update it to make sure it was accurate? I feel like it’d get incredibly tedious to try to remember opening the log every time you did almost literally anything.

Also how did you track sleep down to the minute? Was it some sleep tracking app like Sleep Time or just a best estimate and hoping that averages work it all out?
