Armenia has taken the decision (finally) to rearm and to build a much more modern and capable military, as many of you know. This was initiated with the purchase of 24 Pinaka rocket launchers, which were proven combat effective, as they were used in the Kargil War to suppress Pakistani positions. As for the TC-20, which is a new system, doesn’t have a combat record. If anyone knows, is it actually and effective system?

  1. 1- its the first ever self-propelled artillery of this format. (Meaning 155mm on a 4×4), and in test is proven to be extremely fast deployment time, and movement time

2- 155mm showed to be extremely useful in the Ukraine war. So much so that even the Russians are opting to use their 155 mm artillery all round the place.

3- The system is part of a larger Armenian purchase plan of “shoot and scoot” vehicles, much like the Pinaka. The vehicle is also not really able to carry a lot of ammunitions, more so “carries enough ammunition” for small, fast, and deadly operations. Probably Separating it from an ammunition truck for quicker deployment.

4- It hasn’t been used in battles as of yet

5- It’s not manual as far as I know, and can be used with laser sights we bought from France

6- The smaller 4×4 (rather than the already built 6×6 or 8×8) is more maneuverable for mountainous regions
