“Those convicted of the offence can be placed on the sex offenders register but the court record showed that Farage was not registered.
Instead, he was ordered to pay a £576 fine, £200 in compensation to the unnamed victim plus a £230 victim surcharge and £85 towards prosecution costs.
The court record showed that Farage pleaded guilty to placing a device beneath the victim’s clothing “with the intention of enabling you or a third person to observe the genitals, buttocks or underwear covering the genitals or buttocks, of the other person in circumstances where they would not otherwise be visible”.

I love how they refer to him as “Farage” 🤣

married man with 2 small kids and the director of a company, I hope he gets trolled fucking mercilessly for this one. Both of them haha

    2. > Farage was also described in court as having been of good character and that he was ashamed of his behaviour, which had affected the family.

Previously of good character seems to be irrelevant when you have now revealed yourself to be a sex offender. He just hadn’t been caught before. I doubt people wake up in the morning in their 30s and decide to pick ‘up skirting’ as a new hobby.

    3. Bit confused about them not being added to the register. It’s not like this was an accident, clearly a very deliberate act.

    4. Much as some might not like Nigel Farage I’m not sure he needs to be mentioned here? Oh right, click bait.

    5. Considering how he was forced to pay what is his equivalent of 17p in fines I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if he doesn’t ever stop doing that

I’m confused. Admits to a crime that gets you put on the register and yet doesn’t get put on the register? Can someone make it make sense?

I don’t think my brother would be very happy if he got the blame for a crime my son committed.

I’m sure this lack of punishment won’t fester into a more sexually aggressive individual

    9. Can’t put him in jail. It’s against his human rights innit.

Hey uncle, tell me we’re still in that human rights thingy. Phew!

    10. so he admits to sexual assault but manages to scrape by the S.O register?

why? – I mean I know why but still

    11. £200 compensation and seeing this perv walk free with no consequences. I’m sure the victim feels justice has been done.

If you decide one day to ‘give in to temptation’ and your temptation is putting a camera up someone’s skirt, you were never of ‘good character’ to begin with.

A good person does not have a desire to violate other people. Good thing his name is out there even if he hasn’t been sent to prison.

    13. It is behind a paywall, so I don’t know much, but here are the sentencing guidelines:

      [https://www.sentencingcouncil.org.uk/offences/magistrates-court/item/voyeurism/](https://www.sentencingcouncil.org.uk/offences/magistrates-court/item/voyeurism/)

Just so everyone can see how this works. I’d imagine it was a category 3.

If he does it again, he won’t be able to rely on “good character” and things will go worse for him and he will almost certainly be made aware of that.

I expect Farage and his far-right cronies (not to mention their lackeys on social media) will be shouting from the rooftops about how lax and unjust this sentence is, since they claim to be so concerned about protecting women and girls.

    15. The French rapist husband Pelicot was first caught because of upskirting, which then led to the discovery of all his other more henious crimes. Someone should check Farage’s computers and phones.

    16. Tiny fine, not on any register. Seems like two tier justice to me. Nigel Farge will not stand for this I’m sure.

I’m sorry, why does he get a free pass for this? Are people with money just allowed to sex offend now? The amount of people in prison with “good character” already is massive and the only difference between them and him is who his daddy is and how fat his wallet is.

They’ll be laughing at this behind closed doors, this country is a fucking joke
