    1. Just in case anyone was curious, this scene is from Carl Sagan’s “Cosmos” (Episode 6, Travelers’ Tales).

      Doubt a 44 year old publicly broadcasted episode (aired in 1980) would be considered “rare footage.”

    2. Watching this, it’s easy to see why Carl Sagan became so iconic. His ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely to a general audience was unmatched. Even today, with all we’ve learned about Europa since, this footage remains both informative and a fascinating example of how science can be shared so effectively.

      I still feel more informed after watching this clip than before.
