    1. They aren’t gonna move it up.

They just want to blame Biden for the situation and claim credit for the “rescue”.

The only reporting that should be done on this story is pointing out how Musk and Trump are colluding make something up some crisis so they can take credit for solving it. For fucks sake, anyone even half paying attention has known for months what the plan was with these astronauts.

    3. Yes, send Musk himself! Only he can save them! (Sick opportunity for the astronauts to lock him in the space station by himself and then return to Earth)

Musk is a national security threat of the highest order and must not be permitted to continue to enjoy a virtual monopoly in space. The hard-working American taxpayer deserves better than an oligarch tax harvesting scheme masquerading as scientific exploration.

Musk’s DOGE was conceived to skirt disclosure requirements and vetting of China businessman Elon Musk, who has disqualifying ties to the CCP. Musk’s Tesla operating in China is subject to Chinese law requiring it to “assist or cooperate” with the Chinese Government’s “intelligence work”. Tesla Shanghai produces 50% of Tesla’s global auto output.

On January 17, 2025, the unanimous SCOTUS identified that a national security threat existed with ByteDance Ltd. See: *TikTok Inc. v. Garland*, 604 U.S. 3 (2025):

      >ByteDance Ltd. is subject to Chinese laws that require it to “assist or cooperate” with the Chinese Government’s “intelligence work” and to ensure that the Chinese Government has “the power to access and control private data” the company holds. H. R. Rep. No. 118–417, p. 4 (2024) (H. R. Rep.); see 2 App. 673–676.

Musk’s connection to the CCP, (like ByteDance’s connection) makes Musk a national security threat to the United States. As a condition of Musk doing business in China, Musk must “assist or cooperate” with the Chinese Government’s “intelligence work”.

Musk is doing the bidding of Beijing on issues such as TikTok, Taiwan, H-1B visas, and tariffs. Respected officials like [Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro](https://delauro.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/delauro-letter-congressional-leadership-musk-chaos-government-funding) (Democrat-CT-03, Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Committee), and [retired military](https://www.nytimes.com/2024/12/29/opinion/elon-musk-china-classified-secrets-national-security-russia-doge.html) service members are sounding the alarm.

Mr Trump came to me with tears in his eyes. He said “President Musk, NASA and that nasty Boeing have stranded poor Sunni Williams up there in the space station. I think she might be Muslim so we need to get her off that station asap.” I saluted him and took a hit of katamine before sending a message to Starman, summoning him and his roadster back to Earth Orbit so he can ferry poor Sunni back to earth

    6. Know what else is a headache for NASA? Having two astronauts stuck in space for months with no other real solution!

    7. AdonisGaming93 on

Biden’s plan, Biden is the one that schedule the astronauts to be broufht back. Trump is just trying to take credit for other people’s work.

    8. ASAP, sure.
They are not in any danger. Bringing them home is. Now, when the scales tip the other way and bringing them home is safer than leaving them, then we can.
They calculate the risk and they go for the safer option any time.

    9. So what happens if they get their RIF notices while up there? Will they just depressurize the station?

    10. LegendOfBobbyTables on

If I were an astronaut stranded on the ISS, I would rather take the safest ride home, not the quickest.

    11. Trump doesn’t know or care how to actually execute on things. He wants the appearance of something then he moves on.

    12. Aren’t they already scheduled to come home in like a month

Why move hell and high water now

Oh right because the trumpets will eat it up and call it another “big win” lol

I think a big part of it is the Taiwan cave rescue where the whole world was ripping Elon, now he finally can “rescue” someone 😝

    13. CurraheeAniKawi on

Nightmare because they’ve already been planning on it for 6 months?

What’s with the newspeak propaganda here?

    14. CuriositySauce on

Ummm… the astronauts aren’t Thai boy soccer players so Musky doesn’t need to seek hero worship with his bullshit.

    15. its already in the works

      just let it be

      oh wait

no more budget concerns anymore just write a check and forget about it

    16. NASA already has a plan. The astronauts already have a ride home. They’re safe. This was always in the cards. They knew this was going to be a possibility. They prepped for it. They’ve diverted from that plan. NASA already set a date for them to come home. The astronauts are vets who are likely unopposed to having a longer stay in space. This is the biggest nothing burger of a situation. It’s not Apollo 13. The only people who are nervous right now are Boeing stockholders.

    17. They’re just up there chilling with other astronauts on the ISS. There’s no danger, just let the professionals do their jobs right

    18. Oh fuck. Oh fuck oh fuck I have a paranoid take.

They’re going to force a Kessler syndrome situation to the economic benefit of private companies who would be paid to clean up space junk a la the disaster economy paradigm.

SpaceX rocket collides with ISS in such a manner that there is extreme fragmentation and… 🤮

Big ol distraction from the shitstorm he and musk are creating in our government. He wants to be able to say, “look what we did!” Even though this has all already been planned to return in March.
