What is it with high profile american politicians and social media? Don’t they have most important things to be doing with their time that posting crap all over X?/Twitter. Like their jobs?

    2. He’s not wrong though. Rory is an utter dimwit and comes out with some insanely bizarre takes on things.

    3. Stewart is spot on. Republicans making up fake Christian doctrine to fuck over people they don’t like is sinister.

Vice-Presidents don’t get much to do so he’ll be looking for fights on twitter.

    5. Rory: Here is a detailed rebuttal of your points based upon my deep understanding of the philosophical basis of religious teachings. Consider them at your leisure, good sir.

      Vance: Yeah, but, you smell.

    6. Great comeback from Rory.

      >“I hope your big genius is not making you patronising towards people with an IQ of 110 – since that is 75 per cent of the US population. And perhaps even 1 or 2 of your voters”.

    7. Vance earlier claimed: “There is a Christian concept that you love your family and then you love your neighbour, and then you love your community, and then you love your fellow citizens, and then after that, prioritize the rest of the world.”

Well that confirms this cunty little sockpuppet’s ‘me first, fuck the rest of you’ attitude.

    8. This being the same dunce who absolutely approved and endorsed Trump’s pardoning of all the domestic terrorists (and yes I’ll fucking call them that) who on Trump’s orders laid seige to the US Capitol injuring (and in a couple of cases murdering) anyone who got in their way?

Yes, JD Vance absolutely is the person to talk about smart decision making and Christian values.

Rory Stewart is a clown and a failed politician so I’m inclined to side with anyone against him….but vance and trump….ahhh I don’t like this

    10. I’ve been a Christian for about 30 years, probably heard 500 sermons on ‘love thy neighbour’ alone, and this is the first time I’m hearing this idea of a ‘pecking order’ about prioritising your love for different widening circle of humanity. The only pecking order is that God is at the top.

I think the reason the Bible says “love your *neighbour*” is because **all** of the people Vance listed are neighbours, from your wife and kids right up to the guy who lives in a jungle tribe in Guinea who you’ll never meet. Why he thinks there’s some priority list is beyond me, but then again maybe my IQ is only 110….

    11. Rory Stewart is a pretty decent human being with a good degree of emotional maturity which many Tories don’t have but he does. He’s fought in Iraq, quite high up in the military and he switched parties because of the horrors of the Iraq war from my understanding. He lost a lot of friends and colleagues in that war. He has much more integrity than Vance, buckets more tbh.

    12. I thought JD Vance had crawled back into irrelevance after Jan 20th.

Not sure if he understands what the calculation of IQ actually is, which probably leaves JD with a score of 70.

    13. >“There is a Christian concept that you love your family and then you love your neighbour, and then you love your community, and then you love your fellow citizens, and then after that, prioritize the rest of the world.”

Literally what Sunday school did Vance go to?

Jesus actually said to “hate” your family, love your neighbour, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you.
