They won’t do it.
>Since March of this year, 46,736 people have applied for asylum in Canada, according to the IRB. That is a 62 per cent increase from the same period in 2023, while the backlog stands at 186,000, according to the agency.
Almost 47k claims in a month or two? That’s wild.
At this rate it wouldn’t surprise me if the backlog increases to over 1 million.

You need to stop them from coming in the fjrst place.
And make it so asylum claims can only be made outside the country….they wont even try.
This is good. Politicians should be commended for doing the right thing. Positive reinforcement and feedback.
We need to start mass deportations of anyone without Citizenship or PR.
The question is how many claims will they deny?
If they change the rules it would be silly to think they will change them for the better
