I saw this yesterday from my country. Brazil. I was impressed because I had no memory of seeing it before. So that star was Venus. My God. Magnificent.

Ok well that’s interesting, I took nearly exactly that same photo yesterday evening.
Must be nice to have such clear skies when any or all celestial events occur.

I’ve seen it ealier outside it was a huge star I thought but it’s the beautiful Venus

I saw it last night, walking through town, and it was so bright I didn’t think it was a planet. I really wish I’d taken a pic after seeing posts confirming it was. I’ve seen the transit of Venus and other moments of visible planets but none so bright as to look like a absurdly bright star.
