My guess is that they want to purge those committes of people who do not respect the anti-diversity Trump stance and then have them start working again when new people are called in.

Either way you want to see it, this sucks and it is not in the nature and spirit of science.

I’m surprised that Elon didn’t first visit NASA instead of the Treasury. But then I realized that what he really wants to know is how much is being paid to Boeing and other contractors from both NASA and the defense department. Then he’ll tell Trump how smart FOTUS will be for making SpaceX the prime contractor everywhere.

    3. Braindead ideologues are going to drive away so many experts, and that talent is very hard to replace. This nonsense is going severely damage US science output in the medium to long term.

“Planetary Science” is a codeword Republicans have been using for “anything that could possibly reveal the reality of climate change.” They’ve been targeting planetary science since the first Trump admin. Problem is that so much other science gets swept up under that heading that it takes a while to figure out what’s getting axed

Can’t we all just keep going about our business as if that idiot isn’t actually in charge? Why consent to the governance of someone who doesn’t even understand how anything works and doesn’t care to?

    7. Nasa is just a Huge money laundering system, with zero actual benefits in technology.

Nasa drains the US economy around 80million DAILY. HUGE waste.

They must be liquidated for actual results and advancements of Space Force.
