That’s a shame because we’d be mental not to choose the EU.
I don’t expect the European Union to trust us enough to rejoin outright but we need to join the EEA now.

And when Trump insists we start buying Trump brand water and that we lift the ban on Cyber trucks being driven on our roads, then what?
We need to pick a side, because sitting on the fence means we’ll get shit from everyone.

Regardless of Brexitiers and remainers, I think we can all agree Trump is a fucking nutcase.

Trump’s going to want access to the NHS. Any deal with Trump is going to be bad for us and good for him. So from an economic point of view, we must choose the EU.

It’s scary watching what’s happening in the US.
Musk and his teenager goons, Trump and the Project 2025 people are going mental.
While we still have to play ball with the US, I hope we go about strengthening ties everywhere else.

of course Starmer this is a good thing to say.
The USA is sliding ever further dictatorship, and this is his big moral stance.
He is really pathetic.

Choosing suggests we get a say, I think the phrase he’s looking for is begging to both.

Just wiggle that fence right up in there real good Sir Kier.

Sorry kier but your gonna have too soon. Your sat on a fence and the other 2 sides can see you are. For god’s sake just pick the right one

But if you had to… you’d probably try pandering outside your base and go all special relationship, rather than go for the all-around better option.

Starmer is a weak pathetic leader. UK trades more with the EU, are European and everyone can see Trump is unreliable as hell

Well that benefit of Brexit didn’t take long to materialise, being forced to chose which economic blocks own us
Starmers living in fantasy land if he really thinks appeasement is going to work here, it certainly won’t with the Americans and Europes not going to be in any hurry to let him reset relations if they see us trying to have it both ways. Most likely he’ll get himself into a situation where the EU has massive leverage in any talks.

The USA is an entire ocean away whereas people can swim to the EU.

I get starmer has to be diplomatic here but he’s starting to p*ss me off. You can’t keep making no decision. It should be a pretty easy one.
Be a partner of equals, or be a state that receives orders and gets threatened with tarriffs constantly

We should, the Americans have never been to be trusted and are now showing their true colours.

Yes you fucking are starmer, at some point you will have to make this choice.

We currently have tariff free access to the EU single market as part of the Brexit deal. If we can avoid these additional American tarrifs too we stand to be in a good position. We don’t need an American free trade deal to maintain the status quo, that’s not how it works

Coward shit. What possible possible benefit is there to dealing with a country that his run by a man who tried to blackmail two of his closest trading partners by tearing up a longstanding deal? What’s to stop him doing the same with us? It’s time that people woke up and realised that the US is no longer an ally to anybody, at least not a reliable one. Our future is with the EU and we should be making plans with them to ensure security and economic stability without the US.
