Just let us rejoin the bloody EU, Starmer. You want it, a majority of the public wants it.

    2. AcademicIncrease8080 on

FOM with the EU was such an easy win – large numbers of young, skilled workers from culturally compatible cultures who actually assimilated and didn’t pose any terror risk and committed much lower levels of crime than British people.

And then the Brexiteer fools voted to end that and now we have larger numbers of incompatible cultures which are straining social cohesion.

    3. More competition for jobs keeping wages down – especially flrmour young people, fewer training opportunities, more people driving housing costs up! Why would young people want that ?

All that will happen is millions will come here affecting working class kids while a few thousand middle class a rich kids bother to go the other way !

And of course older well of people want it so they can retire to Spain !

Unbelievable how so many people support policies that will make things worse for themselves due to idealism !

Rank your idealism in order of what is best for YOU !

    4. Where the fuck were those 36% 8 years when the twat burglers convinced people to vote out so they could short the UK.

    5. I have a feeling that EU maybe holding ace in the sleeve, waiting for the right moment – rejoin on old terms!

    6. I want to hear the reasons for not doing it, I’m genuinely interested in what their arguments are.

Just let us rejoin ffs. It’s the only thing that makes sense, even a lot of leavers that I know want back in. The whole thing was pointless, and it’s costing all of us. It’s costing us time, money, opportunity, and progress.

Wouldn’t it be funny if the UK rejoins the EU.

And wouldn’t it ironic if it was a Reform government that did it.

Not saying this is what’s going to happen, but the way politics is all over the place these days I wouldn’t put it past them.

I’m becoming more and more suspicious of poll results. I find it difficult to reconcile this with also being told that a party designed to appeal to actual racists is so popular. So which is it, do Reform really have the support of 25% of the electorate on the basis of not wanting any more immigration or do 84% of the electorate support more immigration?

    10. Realistic-River-1941 on

I’d be amazed if 84% even knew what it is.

Before the referendum I saw remainers claiming that we would need UK government exit permits to go for a fortnight in Spain, which simply made them look silly. And like it or not, very very few British people see emigrating to Slovakia (or wherever) as a more desirable option than fixing things in the UK.

    11. If it’s a stunning new poll, why are there reddit threads from over a year ago on this? See the ‘other discussions’ panel.

    12. WOW, OH MY, where was this again, ah yes most likely a city where over half the people are first gen immigrants and the people who aren’t are socialist liberals

    13. SlightWerewolf4428 on

      Never heard of ‘Omnisis’.

I didn’t know the British public suddenly got a new taste for unlimited immigration.

I guess the media have been fooling us.

    14. Where the fuck were these people when I lost my Dutch residency and had to move back to a shitty backwater town in the Westcountry? It’s too late now! And Farage in in four years time don’t forget.

    15. Yeah I’m skeptical

Single issue polls from minor press outlets have a way of asking leading questions and varying wildly

And the article also credits Prof Juliet Lodge who is at Lecturer on EU politics and European integration in New Zealand.. so I think it’s fair to suggest they have some kind in the game

    16. Forward-Net-8335 on

It seems insane to me that anyone would demand to restrict their own freedom because they’re scared of other people having freedom too.

    17. Capital-Wolverine532 on

They are making this stuff up to encourage the government, or at their behest, to have another vote. The surge in support for Farage would suggest the exact opposite of this.

    18. People misunderstand what ‘free movement’ means. Or rather they do understand but it doesn’t actually describe what is being suggested. It’s a deceptive term.

It should be replaced with ‘freedom to reside’ or similar.
